Crazy on You
Heart has been one of my favorite bands for the longest time. I don’t know what it is but they have a unique blend that keeps me coming back every time. From Ann’s powerful, gravelly, rocktastic voice to Nancy’s guitar playing prowess and sweeter voice, I just love the combination. I’ve seen them live in concert and can say that they are amazing live. I hope to see them again soon, but who knows when that will be.
One of my favorite songs of theirs is one that many people know. It is “Crazy on You” which states my mental state at this point of time…I want to “go crazy” on a lot of people…The song is an existential dream…So, I leave you with a live version (the version of “Dreamboat Annie” is an extra). Enjoy!
Time
The grains of sand
In the hour-glass
Echo loudly.
Each one beats out
Another instant,
Another moment.
This is added to the
Mechanical click
Of clock…Then, there’s
The persistent ba-bump
Of my naive organ…
My head tries to lie to it…
Everything will be alright.
Nothing is more than a
Palpitation away.
Crimson
A fount of Red
Pulsing with the Beat
Of a veined
Apparition of Lust.
Purple, blue, and red
Twisting through a network
Of capillaries, organs,
And tissue.
Life of the living
Or those beyond
The warmth of
Mortality.
