Creepy Things From Thrift Stores #1

with 2 comments

One thing that you might not know about me is that I am an avid thrift store shopper. When I look at Goodwill, Community Thrift stores, etc., I not only look for furniture that I can refurbish or other cool stuff, but additionally, I look for the creepy shit that lines the shelves. The things that look like they might be from horror movies or have the potential to haunt your nightmares. Today, I found two such things.

I can’t really decide what this is. It kind of looks like a monk at prayer. However, I must question why someone in rural Middle Tennessee would need something like this. I don’t know… I find it off-putting.

Creepy ass monkey coconut… I don’t know that i have to go into this too much. However, I usually like the carved coconuts… This one looks like it’s seen better days, but it is also super crude. As a result of this crudeness, it’s quite scary.
